What is V(0) and V(0)*?
V(0) = Projectile velocity when bullet base passes muzzle - assuming a standard barrel length. In our load tables, V(0) is calculated with a standard barrel length of 23.6'' (60cm) for rifles and with 7.09'' (18 cm) for pistols/revolver.
V(0)* = Projectile velocity when bullet base passes muzzle - assuming a short barrel length. In our load tables, V(0)* is calculated with a standard barrel length of 18.9'' (48cm) for rifles and 3.15'' (8 cm) for pistols/revolver.
